Welcome aboard the T.S. Phoenix!

My name is Chief Petty Officer 1st Class(CG) Michael MacIsaac, and I have the honour and privilege of serving as the Coxswain of your ship, alongside a fantastic CO and XO and with every divisional staff and member we have sailing with us. The shoes left by former Cox'n MCPO(CG) Ness will surely prove a massive effort to fill, yet I am confident that I can continue on his work to the best of my ability!

If you haven't noticed, the men and women of the WCC Navy have been making a giant splash thus far in 2010. We have earned the Trades Sword for most trades and qualification passes in the first two quarters, we have had a number of young new recruits join us over the past month, and more opportunities are popping up almost weekly for our navy members and all members of the Corps to take part in across every unit and department.

That being said, we must take caution over slowing down as we enter the summer and the final two quarters of the year. Activity has trailed off over the past month or so, and while I and your command staff maintain that we remain the most operational ready unit in the Corps, it is more vital now than ever that we keep up the great work! Recruitment, continued training, and the desire to provide what you can for the unit are the three commitments that will keep the Navy

All of this being said, I very much look forward to working with and getting to know each and every one of you. I'll be around on the forums regularly, I promise, and should you need to get in touch with me for any reason, do note that I can be found via e-mail at coxn@navy.webcadets.com or on MSN at macisaac.michael@live.com. Here's to a fantastic new phase aboard the T.S. Phoenix!

                          All the best,

                                        CPO1(CG) MacIsaac, M.J.E.

Weekly Points of Order -- 24 July - 30 July

  • We have a new thread up in the Forums about getting to know each other: definitely worth participating in!
  •  Our Senior Drill Instructor has issued us a recruiting challenge: remember, one cadet, one recruit, that's all we need! We're not asking you to find the eternal source of recruiting forever; just one friend, co-worker, colleague, anyone!
  • Our Commanding Officer is looking for help to introduce even more new courses specifically for the Navy side of the training world -- make sure to see him if you can lend a hand!
